Posted Date: 7/30/2015
[Lancaster, Pa.] Ecore announced that three part-time employees from its marketing department have qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil by defeating Argentina 2-1 in the Finals and claiming Gold at the Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada last weekend. Stefanie Fee, Katie Reinprecht, and Lauren Crandall, all members of the U.S. Women’s National Field Hockey team, went undefeated in the tournament, winning all 6 games and securing the U.S. Women’s National Team’s (USWNT) spot in the 2016 Summer Games.

“There was no doubt in our minds that they would achieve this goal,” said Arthur Dodge III, CEO and president of Ecore. “Lauren, Katie and Stef, along with the rest of their teammates, have worked incredibly hard since the 2012 games to advance to where they are today.”

The Pan American Games took place August 13-24. During the entire tournament, USWNT hadn’t let in a single goal, until the final match against Argentina on August 24. The two teams were tied at halftime before Katie Reinprecht scored in the 34th minute to give the U.S. the lead. "A victory in the final is never going to get old," U.S. captain Lauren Crandall said. "It's something that we need to continue to do. We want to be a team that can get to the gold medal match and put a winning performance together."

Crandall, Reinprecht and Fee began working at Ecore in December 2013, as social media specialists. In addition to their social media duties, these women’s roles have expanded over the past two years to include new product development and testing, writing case studies and being involved with the overall marketing and evolution of the Ecore Athletic business unit.”

“Katie, Stef and Lauren have been such a wonderful addition to the Ecore marketing team that we have been willing to work with them around their training and playing schedules,” said Dodge.
