Florida Tile extends BerkshireHDP wood line

PRESS RELEASE: [Lexington, Ky.] - Florida Tile has extended its BerkshireHDP High Definition Porcelain wall and floor wood collection by adding an 8x36-inch plank and a 12x12 mosaic in all five of the series colors: Hickory, Maple, Oak, Olive and Walnut.

According to Florida Tile Marketing Director Sean Cilona, “Introduced in 2011 in a 6x24-inch format, the Berkshire series was designed to be evocative of rustic, vintage hardwoods with a traditional color palette and unique hand-scraped wood texture surface. It was an immediate hit and has quickly grown to be one of the top three best-selling product lines in the Florida Tile product portfolio.”

Cilona notes, “With the successful launch of the MagnoliaHDP 8x36-inch series in June 2013 and the growing trend for wider, longer planks, we decided the time was right to add this newer size to the our BerkshireHDP series. These looks bracket styles from the most traditional to the most contemporary and are being used in both residential and commercial applications.”

Cilona says, “The incredible wood look is achieved via our digital printing processes combined with an intricate surface texture. The result is an amazing wood look plank tile virtually indistinguishable from the real thing.”

BerkshireHDP is manufactured with a minimum of 40% recycled content. It is GREENGUARD and Porcelain Tile certified and is rated at .06% wet DCOF. The line includes 4x24 bullnose to complete any interior installation.

Labels stating “Now Available in 8x36” have been shipped to Florida Tile sales reps and branches to use to update merchandising, and all new merchandising will be updated with the new size as a rolling change.
