Mohawk names Floorscapes, ColorCenter Retailers of the Year

[Calhoun, Ga.]At its 2015 Solutions Convention, Mohawk announced the winners of the Company’s National Retailer of the Year awards, which recognized the top-performing retailers for both the ColorCenter and Floorscapes aligned retailer programs. According to Mohawk, Manasota Flooring and Carpet Weaver’s shared the top honor within the Floorscapes category while Mark’s Flooring and Royal Flooring were both named ColorCenter Retailer of the Year. Store owners Bob Tiffany, Mark and Tyler Weaver, Mark Compston, Nick Fiala, Johnnie Kennell, Bill Ludwig and Scott Sullivan were recognized before industry leaders and their retailer peers at Mohawk’s aligned retailer gala in Orlando, Fla.

 

“For the first time ever, we made the decision to name two winners in each category because of each retailer’s incredible success and demonstrated commitment to the Mohawk aligned program,” said David Duncan, senior vice president of marketing and sales operations at Mohawk.

 

Mohawk said it uses various criteria to identify its Retailers of the Year out of thousands of aligned stores throughout the United States and Canada. Primarily, the company looks for retail stores that are true ambassadors of the Floorscapes and ColorCenter programs and exhibit an ongoing commitment to training, store standards, brand building, merchandising, installation ideas and community involvement.

 

Manasota Flooring, Floorscapes National Retailer of the Year

Manasota Flooring is well-known in the South Florida region. Bob Tiffany currently owns four stores in South Florida with plans to add another in the near future.  Having been recognized as a regional winner three times in the past, Manasota Flooring is no stranger to success within the Mohawk aligned program. The business prides itself on its commitment to the consumer experience.

 

“Mohawk has been instrumental in our store’s growth by continuously investing in the latest resources and most innovative products for their aligned partners.  They take the time to listen and truly understand our needs as an evolving, family business as well as the needs of our customers,” said Chris Quattlebaum, Manasota Flooring’s general manager and a Mohawk Flooring advisory board member. Manasota Flooring has been a Mohawk Aligned Partner for nearly 12 years.

 

Carpet Weaver’s, Floorscapes National Retailer of the Year

Carpet Weaver’s, located in Central Illinois, has been in business for 25 years. The eight-store operation is well-respected in the Central Illinois region as a second-generation family floor covering business, Mohawk said. The successful retail owners Mark and Tyler Weaver utilize both traditional and digital advertising with a strong emphasis on social media and a state-of-the-art website to drive store traffic.


“Our partnership with Mohawk gives us an opportunity to offer a vast and diverse assortment of flooring products to fit any personal style for every room in a home or business,” said Mark Weaver.

 

Mark’s Flooring Center, ColorCenter Retailer of the Year

Mark’s Flooring Center opened its doors for business in 2009 in Minneola, Fla., and added a second store in the Mount Dora area in 2012. Owner Mark Compston strives to be a positive influence in his community and places a strong emphasis on customer service.


“Our partnership with Mohawk gives us an opportunity to offer a vast and diverse assortment of quality floor covering products and marketing resources that make it easy to provide superior service to our customers,” said Compston, who is looking to add another store in the near future.

 


Royal Flooring, ColorCenter National Retailer of the Year

Royal Flooring, located in Altoona, Iowa, has been in business for ten years. Under the leadership of Nick Fiala, Johnnie Kennell, Bill Ludwig and Scott Sullivan, the store is constantly improving and expanding its business operations while also serving as an integral part of their community, according to Mohawk.


“Mohawk is our go-to source for all our flooring needs and being a ColorCenter aligned partner makes it easy for us to exceed our customer’s expectations,” said Ludwig. 2015 marks Royal Flooring’s 10th year in the Mohawk aligned program.
