The Heart of Shaw Belongs to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Shaw continues its support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with a number of initiatives that include opportunities for participating retailers and their customers, as well as for its own employees.

The ultimate goal is a lofty one: to raise the level of contributions across all activities to the point where they cover one full day of operating expenses, according to Randy Merritt, president.

A cornerstone of that program are the significant contributions Shaw makes to the St. Jude Dream Homes Giveaway which helps fund helps to raise money.

There’s also the program that allows retailers and their customers to participate by donating proceeds from the sale of two if its carpet cushion lines to St. Jude.

Shaw employees also get to play a personal and direct role by participating in the annual St. Jude marathon.

It’s all part of a total corporate commitment that goes beyond simply writing a check and rather seeks to engage, to inspire and to share in the good work to save the lives of children and to support their families.
