Smith & Fong expands operations in Canadian market

[San Francisco, Calif.] Smith & Fong Co., manufacturer of Plyboo bamboo architectural plywood and flooring products, is increasing operations and taking an active role in the Canadian marketplace, according to company president Angus Stocks.

The expansion includes direct importation and warehousing of its extensive range of products as well as new distribution and marketing representation. The base of Smith & Fong’s Canadian operations will be Toronto.

“Canada has been a great market for the Plyboo line over the years and we are very committed and excited about the potential there,” Stocks said. “So we are stepping up our engagement and commitment to meet it.” 

Direct importation with product on the ground to support the company’s growth strategy and distribution network there was the natural next step for operations there, Stocks said.

The company has also announced the signing of Toronto-based Park Street Solutions, who will focus on promoting Smith & Fong’s products such as the Reveal, Linear Lines and Sound (with proprietary QuietWall sound-dampening technology) wall systems.
