[Arlington, Tenn.] Stauf USA announced the addition of LVP-777 Pro-Lux, a specially formulated adhesive for the installation of luxury vinyl tiles and planks, to its adhesive lineup. According to the company, with this formulation, installers will find the product easier to spread and can be used as 2 different adhesives in 1. Stauf USA said the adhesive may be used as wet lay or as a pressure sensitive adhesive. LVP-777 is also said to be formulated to decrease shrinkage, increase green grab, reduce cupping and end peaking due to its extremely high shear strength.
“Luxury vinyl plank and tile have a come a long way in recent designs, colors and fashions. They have become significantly modified, and in some cases perfected to look and feel exactly like what they are trying to imitate. Many upper-end commercial users, residential builders and specifiers are enjoying the aesthetic they are able to obtain from these products. The problem is that in most cases, installers are not using an adhesive that will withstand the objections to these types of products such as shrinkage, cupping or end lifting. We have resolved most of the objections with this adhesive. It’s strong and really is a substantial improvement over cheaper vinyl adhesives,” said David Ford, vice president of sales and marketing for Stauf USA.
