[Dalton] With a focus on growing from within, Lexmark Residential has announced a new vice president of residential sales, Chris Petrie.
A former project engineer and supervisor in the nuclear industry, Petrie entered the carpet industry in 1997. He began his career at Lexmark nearly three years ago as regional sales manager for the Northeast. Since then, he expanded his sales territory rapidly into the Southeast and also became the general sales manager for the East Coast.
“What I love about the job is the people,” Petrie said. “... I am driven by finding better ways of doing things. I enjoy facing a problem and finding the solutions that no one else has thought of.”
In his new role, Petrie is responsible for driving sales and executing key initiatives set forth by Lexmark’s corporate management, the company said.
Additionally, employees John Madden and Ronnie Moore have been promoted to regional vice president for Western and Eastern U.S., respectively.
Combined, Madden and Moore have nearly seven decades of experience in the flooring industry, and their expertise exemplifies the reasons Lexmark strives to promote internal talent, the company said.
“The diversity in this part of the U.S. really lends itself to the unique styles in our luxury patterns — and at such affordable price points, our products offer customers some truly remarkable alternatives to other options on the market today,” said Madden, who began his career in flooring in 1989.
And Moore, whose experience in flooring began with store management and local sales in the ‘80s, feels similarly about opportunities across the Eastern U.S.
“Lexmark’s policy is to always try to promote from within and we had some great internal candidates to choose from,” said executive vice president of sales Sam Burger.
