[Florence, Ala.] The City of Florence, Ala., honored Centiva by nominating it for a Green Corporate Citizen Award, sponsored by Greenstar Recycling.
“We nominated Centiva because it is a forward thinking company that realizes that sustainability and being green aren’t just ways to market its brands; it’s also a way to cut costs, boost profits and help the environment along the way,” said Rachel Mansell, Education Outreach Coordinator for the City of Florence.
A City of Florence GreenTeam Partner, Centiva was selected as one of three finalists from more than 60 entries nationwide.
Centiva is active in local community environmental efforts including Adopt-A-Mile, Shoals Earth Month, Florence City Schools Litter Critter Contest and a recent sustainable beautification project.
