[Orlando] Shaw’s dedication to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is 10 years strong and growing. Steve Sieracki, vice president of residential hard surfaces, recounted for Shaw Flooring Network attendees here in Orlando the journey to find the right cause marketing partner a decade ago. “Every time we took a look at it, it always came back to St. Jude.”

And what started as a partnership for the Dream Home giveaway, which SFN retailers such as Kelly and Laura Taylor of Ambassador Floor Company in Chesterfield, Missouri participate, has grown into a holistic support of St. Jude that includes both product tie ins with carpet cushion and a growing team fundraising and running in the St. Jude Memphis Marathon.
The Taylors’ commitment to St. Jude runs deep with both running the St. Jude Marathon each year. “St. Jude steps up and takes all the other burdens away,” noted Kelly Taylor.
Other retailers participate in the different opportunities made available to them. While Regan Echols of IQ Floors in Colorado has run with Shaw in the past, last year his daughter Amelia joined him. Indeed, added Sieracki, “The best relationship in the flooring industry is with St. Jude.”
