FloorCon day 2 continues to showcase tech, innovation

[Sarasota, Fla.] The second day of FloorCon 2021, the in-person convention hosted by Broadlume, continued to highlight best practices for flooring dealers to grow their business. Day two started with a keynote address by NFL and NASCAR Hall of Famer, coach Joe Gibbs.

Breakout sessions focused on four different tracks: Marketing & Advertising, Leadership & Culture, Sales & Operations and Technology Platforms & Programs from FloorForce.

The Dixie Group’s Pami Bhullar, vice president of Business Development, informed attendees of how to effectively tell your store’s story rather than focus solely on product.

Anthony Carrino, builder, designer, vice president of design at Welcome Homes & former HGTV star, shared how he leverages technology to sell high value properties and homes.

Jim Aaron, executive director of FCEF, told attendees how they can be involved in combating the labor shortage.

Jason Goldberg, CEO of America's Floor Source, gave best practices on how to grow your business. His advice included valuing your people, training them properly, leveraging technology and resources, but most importantly, he said, “Do the work.”

John Weller, CIO of Broadlume, spoke with FCW at FloorCon 2021, taking place this week in Sarasota, Fla. Here, Weller shares how dealers are responding to the innovations announced during the show and how excitement is building for next year’s FloorCon.
