NWFA apprenticeship program launching at expo

Thursday, April 25, 2019

[Fort Worth, Texas] As previously reported, the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA)'s new, federally registered, Apprenticeship Program will launch at this year's expo.

The "Wood Flooring Specialist" designation has been approved by the U.S. Department of Labor, and can be used by NWFA members to attract prospective talent, provide a clear career path, retain educated and dedicated employees and qualify to receive federal or state funding.

This three-year hybrid program, which will formally launch next week at the NWFA Expo here May 1–3, will be available to all NWFA member companies seeking to hire and train new employees.

Join NWFA for an education session on May 2, led by James (Dudley) Light, regional director at the USDOL/ETA/Office of Apprenticeship, to learn more about the program and how it can benefit your business. Dudley has been affiliated with the Registered Apprenticeship system for 48 years and will share valuable tips on how to implement this program.
