Piet Dossche: Passion Play Part II

[Las Vegas] Here at The International Surface Event (TISE), Dossche will be inducted into the World Floor Covering Association (WFCA) Hall of Fame. 

Back in 2016, FCW featured Piet Dossche on its newly redesigned cover: “Piet’s Passion Play” was the headline. At the time, Coretec, the first WPC to come to market, was just taking off. In fact, USFloors was happy to report at the time that it was looking to go from 30 salespeople to 160.

Dossche told FCW then, “My passion has always been the product, the market, the customer and how to build a great company.”


Later that year, Shaw set to acquire USFloors. Today, under the Shaw Industries umbrella, Dossche has ramped up his innovation to bring to market not just Coretec The Original, but Coretec Pro, Coretec Stone and Coretec Wood.

“It is safe to say that no single individual has had a greater impact on the overall floor covering industry in the last 10 years than Piet Dossche,” said Scott Humphrey, WFCA CEO. “His introduction of a stabilizing core to LVT was only the beginning of many innovations that have elevated this category to its ever- growing state. Dossche will be inducted on the TISE show floor, Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2020 at 5 p.m.
